The NAM Sales Manager at Corva drives growth through direct sales to E&P companies and oil and gas operators. The NAM Sales Manager will continue to build and mentor members of the commercial team, drive a more predictable sales process, promote go-to-market strategies and build relationships at the senior level so they can elevate the conversation inside the customer’s organization. He/She will drive engagement, grow their customer base and secure long term, multi-segment agreements.
The NAM Sales Manager will effectively work with the SVP of Sales while managing His/Her own team spread across multiple locations in the US and Canada. He/She will initially have a sales team of 7-8 Account Managers and have responsibility for driving sales across all Corva segments. He/She will interface with adjacent support organizations such as Solutions Engineering, Marketing and Customer Success to promote Corva to the Energy Industry and secure growth. The right person has a solid track record of delivering profitable growth and experience in the Energy Industry, preferably in oil and gas. He or she should be a great motivator, coach, and collaborator to effectively mature and scale the commercial organization for continued growth. The ideal candidate has exceptional strategic planning and problem-solving skills while at the same time demonstrating focus on the sales pipeline, forecasting and tactical execution. This leader is comfortable interacting with all levels
within our customers and adjusts his/her communication to convey Corva’s value effectively. And, of course, the ideal candidate juggles and prioritizes multiple tasks, works productively in a team-oriented environment and is comfortable supporting a rapidly growing and changing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to align with overall company goals.
  • Ensure sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM are up to date and reflect all activities of the sales team.
  • Provide updated sales pipeline and opportunity reporting as needed.
  • Collaborate with the executive and management team of Corva to meet customer needs.
  • Oversee existing customer relationships in NAM and collaborate with key account teams as needed.
  • Work with the partnerships team and regional partners in account management as required.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
  • Communicate customer needs with technical sales, product, and management to ensure current and future needs of our customers are met.
  • Monitor competitor activity and report significant strategies or movements.
  • Identify and support upsell efforts for existing customers.
  • Work closely with marketing to establish lead-generating activities, trade shows, and advertising campaigns.
  • Facilitate sales training to support Corva’s standard methodology of sales pipeline management.
  • Proactively work with customers to ensure value is continuously being understood.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, or other venues where we can meet with existing and potential clients.
  • Act as an ambassador for Corva and communicate the brand message.

Required Skills & Experience

  • An undergraduate degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in oil and gas sales, preferably in technology.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 35%.
  • Track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies in multiple markets.
  • SaaS sales and sales management experience preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with executive, marketing technical sales, and customer success teams.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM (SalesForce, Hubspot) systems ensuring regular use of the system.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to succinctly present findings to senior executives.
  • Collaborative team player, comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to think creatively to come up with workable solutions.
  • Experience negotiating complex, long-term contracts alongside a legal team.
