About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and forward-thinking business as a People Advisor. This is new role within our growing People Team, with the goal of supporting the business to drive best practice in the People engagement and support space and continuing to make BJSS a great place to work for all our people.

In this role you will be providing high quality day-to-day people advice to people managers across all areas of the business whilst supporting our team of People Partners (HRBPs).

Your key responsibilities will be:

Provide first line People support to our people managers.
Escalate any ER issues as required to the relevant People Partner.
Manage the People Inbox, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide support in formal meetings as required. E.g. note taking.
Assist the People Partners with employee relations case management.
Support the Operations team with business-as-usual People processes when required.
Other general duties as required.

About You

HR/ People team experience, at Advisor level.
CIPD qualification/ degree in relevant subject would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of employment law and the ability to translate this into clear, usable information/actions.
Highly creative, with the ability to ‘think outside the box’ when approaching complex people issues.
Skilled at offering pragmatic employee relations advice.
Highly organised and adaptable; open to change and willing to ‘muck in’ to get the job done.
An enthusiastic team-player, while still self-driven and able to work without frequent support.
A confident, credible, and approachable manner.
A proactive, flexible and positive work style.
