SnapStream makes television search technology used by organizations that want to put their finger on the pulse of TV. A cross between a DVR and a search engine, SnapStream's TV search appliances allows organizations to easily record and search thousands of hours of TV recordings. One SnapStream TV search engine can simultaneously record up to 10 TV shows and can internally store more than 17,000 hours of recordings. And it gives the user the ability to search within recordings and pinpoint TV content of interest. Then the user can download or e-mail clips or burn DVDs of recordings. Some SnapStream customers include XM Radio, ABC, Current TV, E! Entertainment, The United States Senate, TV stations owned by Belo, and the University of Texas - Austin. SnapStream also makes a consumer product, Beyond TV, that allows any consumer to transform their PC into a DVR for home entertainment.
