Implementation Consultant I- Entry Level

PROS’ Professional Services organization is looking for dynamic and passionate people to join our team! As a new Implementation Consultant, you will develop market leading skills that will launch your career in software and technology. Please keep in mind this position is for 2024, January and June.

PROS Implementation Consultants are trusted advisors combining configuration and business expertise to guide our customers through the process of software implementation to achieve value through improved digital selling capabilities.

Implementation Consultants start their journey training in multiple software products before being placed on projects to support customers in various industries, including global implementations for some of the largest companies in the world. You will be part of a strong Professional Services organization that works together to ensure our customers’ success and will support your career growth as you develop deep expertise.

A Day in the Life of the Implementation Consultant –

About the Role:

  • Configure software to meet customer requirements in accordance with solution designs and other best practices – this involves translating business requirements into configuration, troubleshooting issues, and testing configuration
  • Meet with customers and internal teams to discuss status, plan work, understand requirements, resolve problems, and answer questions
  • Support internal project processes to keep projects within scope, under budget, and on-time
  • Document configuration and keep organized records of decisions made
  • Demo configuration to customers and train users on capabilities of software
  • Work with other experts at PROS to jointly troubleshoot issues
  • Deliver configured software that facilitates customer success
  • Support customers through project milestones, including kickoff, configuration verifications, and acceptance testing
  • Contribute to internal initiatives outside your role to improve the organization and support the growth of your teammates

Required Qualifications - About You:

  • Able to travel to customer sites (typically ~25-50%, but can vary).

The defining quality of successful Implementation Consultants is curiosity – you must be curious and have a desire to dig into business requirements and figure out the “why”. You must have intrinsic motivation, you don’t wait to be told how to do something, you figure it out. Additionally, you have an ability to blend configuration and customer-facing skills. This is a unique combination that allows you to communicate with customers to understand their needs, dive into the details of configuration to build a solution, and present the configuration to a business l audience and explain how it will solve their problems.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Problem solver – dig into issues and find the root cause
  • Experience building and analyzing datasets
  • Ability and desire to learn tools/languages such as: JavaScript, SQL, Linux, XML, or others
  • Understanding of Pricing and/or Revenue Management
  • Exposure to ERP and CRM concepts

Education:

  • BS/BA – Business or Engineering degree preferred with a focus on one of more of the following:
    • Finance
    • Statistics
    • Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
    • MIS
    • Math
    • Data Analytics
    • Computer Science
