Markmonitor is the global leader in enterprise domain management. We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Associate responsible for supporting sales and account managers across the sales cycle. The role requires a strong focus on detail, project management and learning about Markmonitor, the Domain Management industry as well as the sales process. Responsibilities include project managing RFP’s, contract legal process, sales administration and lead processing. CRM and internal systems expertise is required. Markmonitor provides a lively and collaborative environment within a dynamic, fast-paced company.
This position will report to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) with a dotted line to Head of Account Management and Head of New Business Sales and will require a high level of self-directed activity, consistent use of a CRM (Salesforce) and rigorous attention to detail. The Sales Associate will understand the “rhythm” of selling at Markmonitor and support all administrative functions across the sales cycle as well as our cross-functional partners workflow. This person will be taught the details of the domain industry to a reasonable degree, will learn how to effectively research and identify opportunity, and will learn to speak to/illustrate meaningful differentiations between Markmonitor services and those at several competitors.
Ideal candidates will be highly organized, have project management skills and be intellectually curious with a goal of moving into a sales or customer success role in the future.
What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
Supporting all aspects of sales pipeline building, planning, and accurate forecasting
Researching and assessing prospective prospects and markets
Attendance as/when needed at trade shows and industry events (minimal expectations here)
Proposal creation, RFP management and business process management
Working with internal stakeholders to ensure integrity of financial, operational, and legal terms
Highly collaborative interaction with other Markmonitor team members and cross-functional partners

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate easily & interpersonally with colleagues
Experience working within a sales organization strongly preferred, but not required
Strong work ethic, holding both themselves and their colleagues accountable – leading by example
Ability to communicate detailed and specific data in a way that is both accurate and digestible
A BA/BS in relevant course work and/or 1-3 years of work experience in sales or support based roles
Proclivity for curiosity and desire for continued learning, evaluation, and problem-solving
Knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint), and LinkedIn, or ability to learn quickly
