The Senior SEO and Content Manager will be responsible for driving and supporting the overall SEO vision, while working strategically with internal and external content writers to execute correctly. In addition, this role will be heavily involved in publishing and optimizing SEO content, establishing and implementing SEO strategies, testing Schema markup/structured data, supporting larger SEO projects, and staying up to date with the latest SEO trends and best practices.

The Senior SEO and Content Manager will work closely with SEO leadership, internal teams, and agency partners to increase organic search performance, traffic, leads, and revenue. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team player, and excellent communicator with a strong understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to implement them.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

  • Drive and support the overall SEO vision, as established by SEO leadership.

  • Use data to challenge the existing strategy and identify areas of improvement.

  • Maintain strong relationships with content agency partners and internal content teams.

  • Publish and optimize SEO content to increase organic search performance.

  • Establish and implement SEO keyword strategy and best practices.

  • Test Schema markup/structured data to improve search performance.

  • Support larger SEO projects to increase organic search performance, traffic, leads, and revenue.

  • Recommend new pages and page consolidations to support SEO growth and collaborate with XFN teams on execution.

  • Execute on- and off-page SEO strategies to increase organic rankings.

  • Forge new relationships with writers and reputable organizations using HARO and related tools.

  • Maintain a healthy working relationship with product teams, leadership, PR and knowledgebase teams.

  • Stay up to date with major SEO publications, surfacing at least one piece of industry news /week that can be used to support or challenge our strategy.

  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-traffic and highly relevant keywords for content optimization and creation.

  • Update and maintain a shared content calendar across various teams.

  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.

  • Use data from PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns to support a stronger SEO strategy.

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies, including content creation and distribution, to increase brand awareness and engagement.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as design and development, to ensure website content is properly optimized for search engines and user experience.

  • Monitor and stay up-to-date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure the effectiveness of SEO and content marketing strategies.

  • Create and implement link building strategies to improve domain authority and search rankings.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in SEO and content management.

  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to implement them.

  • Strong appetite for learning and growing within the fast-paced SEO industry.

  • Knowledge of Schema markup/structured data.

  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and SurferSEO.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
