About the Role

We are creating a world class data services capability and need a Head of Data, Analytics & AI Services, to lead by example and demonstrate the art of the possible.

You’ll be a technical authority at the centre of our engagements, managing technical risk and creating real business value.

You’ll be willing to be hands-on when you need to be and seek to balance innovation and intellectual rigour with realism.

You will work with a talented, innovative, and creative data team to make the right technology choices for our clients and will also draw on your creative talent to contribute to our data accelerators.

You will work with other key stakeholder in service & sales teams to develop highly competitive, compelling, and differentiating propositions. You will work with US leadership to develop data strategies/advice/consultancy to new and existing clients with a view added value or additional business opportunities.

As a strategic consultant you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the data technology strategy for client organizations. You will work closely with their business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure that data is stored, managed, and analyzed effectively to support business objectives. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the organization has the necessary infrastructure, tools, and resources to support its data technology needs.

Key External Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the data technology strategy for clients, aligning it with business objectives.

Lead the design, development, and deployment of data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL processes.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate data technologies and tools and develop and maintain data architecture and data modelling standards.

Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

Manage the implementation of analytics platforms, such as BI tools, machine learning frameworks, generative AI frameworks, LLMs, and data visualization tools.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and develop data analytics solutions to support business decision-making.

Manage a project team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Collaborate with client IT teams to ensure that data technology solutions integrate effectively with other systems and applications.

Key Internal Responsibilities:

Work with UK Data, Analytics & AI Service leads to develop and execute on BJSS service offerings.

Work with US leadership to develop the go-to-market strategy for building a Data, Analytics & AI practice in the United States.

Work with Sales and Marketing to identify target groups and events to build US pipeline for Data, Analytics and AI services.

Work with US leadership and Sales to acquire new clients and expand data services into existing ones.

As US Data, Analytics and & AI Services team grows, provide leadership and management to ensure effective delivery of consulting services to BJSS clients.

Serve as public facing speaker/subject matter expert on topics relating to Data, Analytics & AI.

About You

At least 10 years of experience in data technology, with a strong background in data architecture, data warehousing, and data analytics.

Proven experience in developing and implementing data technology strategies and managing data technology projects.

Experience with cloud-based data technologies, such as AWS or Azure, Snowflake, Databricks and experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop or Spark.

Experience in managing a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with data governance policies and procedures, and knowledge of data security and compliance requirements.

Experience with BI tools, machine learning frameworks, and data visualization tools is a plus.

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong technical background in data technology, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of developing and implementing data technology strategies, managing data technology projects, and leading a team of data professionals.

The salary for this role will be between $140,000-$190,000 per annum and up to $100,000 discretionary bonus.

For this role, we will consider candidates based in New York as well as other locations: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia and Ohio.
