Wondery is seeking a Senior Content Operations Manager to support our large and growing content team. The candidate should be business-minded, enthusiastic, efficient, and detail-oriented. This full-time position will report to the Head of Content Operations, Programming, and Strategy. It is a highly cross-functional role that will work with many departments across Wondery and Amazon. They will be responsible for initiating and implementing projects that affect multiple departments and our catalog of Wondery shows, including establishing new processes and improving existing processes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have extensive operations experience in audio, be a strong project manager, and will know how to increase efficiency as we scale. They will have a positive attitude that helps them thrive in an intellectually curious, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
This job is open to candidates who can work in the Culver City or New York City office.
Key job responsibilities
- Create and improve Content team processes and systems
- Lead all projects that span the entire Content org, e.g. meetings, systems, and special projects.
- Be the main point of contact between other departments (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Digital, etc) and the -Content team in terms of systems, process improvement, and efficiency.
- Own all building, use, and implementation of approved tools, including organizational databases (e.g. Airtable), filing systems (e.g. Dropbox), and content organization (CMS or DAM). Continue to iterate and refine internal tools via inputs from cross-functional stakeholders and maintaining tool manuals.
- Oversee coordination between the US team and the international team, sharing operations resources and collecting local inputs.
- Project manage various projects across Wondery that involve the Content team
- Inform and collaborate with other operations teams throughout the org to improve all Wondery systems.
- Own the onboarding process of all full time Wondery Content personnel, from creating a robust Content-specific onboarding system to advising hiring managers on hiring tasks.
- Write and contribute data for business reviews and other documents
- Oversee implementation of accessibility-related projects, including transcripts, alt text, etc.
- Manage and execute catalog maintenance projects, such as bulk reviews and updates.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in content operations or business operations for a media company
- Experience working in fast paced, deadline driven environments
- Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, while being able to identify problems before they arise
- Confident leader who can communicate clearly, both verbal and written, across all levels of the organization with a proven ability to influence others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expert knowledge of Airtable automations, formulas, and workflows, and have the ability to create multi-base Airtable systems to support our operational needs.
- Business degree
- Comfortable reading legal agreements and understanding how they affect our systems and operations.
- Experienced manager who knows how to prioritize and delegate efficiently.
- Understands how to be creative-friendly while still addressing operations needs.
- Collaborative nature and willingness to work with team members from all disciplines.
- Demonstrate bias for action with strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and scalable solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $73,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $175,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
